State Rep. Manny Guzman (D-Berks) announced Wednesday he is partnering with the Reading Housing Authority (RHA) to host a job fair for city residents.

The fair will take place Thursday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Olivet Boys and Girls Club located at 1161 Pershing Blvd.

Guzman said he wants to simplify the process for individuals to network, explore employment opportunities and secure a job.

“I am excited to be joining forces with the Reading Housing Authority in this event and I am keenly looking forward to greater collaboration with the organization for the benefit of all families in the county,” Guzman said.

Stacey Keppen, RHA president and CEO, said the fair is aimed at empowering residents with valuable information and resources.

“By partnering in an on-site job fair, we bridge some of the challenges associated with realizing those life-changing opportunities that can come from employment that’s the right fit, both financially and otherwise. We look forward to seeing a great turnout of employers and job seekers on May 9,” Keppen said.
