Every day in America, 15 million kids (1 out of 4) leave school with no place to go. 93% of our youth qualify for free or reduced lunch programs at school. 84% live at or below the poverty line. They risk being unsupervised, unguided, and unsafe.
In the summer, an alarming 43 million (3 out of 4) kids in America lack access to summer learning programs increasing their risk of significant learning loss. To improve the outlook of our nation, we must redefine the opportunity equation: School + Out-of-School = GREAT FUTURES.
The goals of Olivet Boys & Girls Club are to:
- Mobilize our communities to reverse negative trends facing our youth.
- Inspire and empower the next generation to be healthy, successful, engaged leaders.
- Serve more Members, more often to help more kids on their path to a great future.
