Olivet Boys & Girls Club President and CEO, Chris Winters, formally announced that Alec Reinert has been promoted to the new role of Vice President of Development for the Olivet Boys & Girls Club organization.

With the President and CEO, Chris Winters, Reinert rounds out the Olivet leadership team consisting of Deja Harris, Vice President of Club Operations, Kat Royer, Vice President of Programming, and Nick Philippides, Vice President of Satellite Sites and Services.

“It is an honor to name Alec Reinert as Olivet’s new, Vice President of Development. Alec’s fundraising and relationship building efforts over the course of the past year are recognized and commendable” said Chris Winters, President and CEO.

“Joining our management team, Alec helped our Club navigate through the pandemic, and I am confident that he is the right fit for this role and for our Olivet team. Alec is joining a strong, diverse leadership team that will continue to expand and enhance the Olivet organization so we can continue to serve youth throughout the community.”

Rachel Kuhn, Olivet Board Member and Chair of Development Committee added, “as a board member and chair of the development committee, I have witnessed Alec’s commitment to the organization and the youth we serve. He leads with integrity, a strong work ethic, flexibility, and resilience. I am thrilled that he is leading the charge for our upcoming Leaders and Legends Dinner on June 17 and our annual golf event on August 15 & 16. I am confident in the success of both events and know the community will enjoy supporting Olivet thanks to Alec’s efforts.”

Reinert joined the Olivet team in March of 2020 in the position of Grants Administrator less than one week before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the organization to close its doors to in-person programming.

Throughout the pandemic, Reinert played a pivotal role in securing various grant funds, resources, and other donations to meet the needs of youth and the entire Berks County community. In November of 2020, Reinert was promoted to the role of Resource Development Officer which involved planning special events and building relationships with donors.

Reinert has excelled in every role within the organization and his passion for youth services, talent for donor engagement, and ability to form strong, community partnerships allowed him to easily transition to Vice President of Development. In this new role, Reinert will oversee and provide leadership to the development efforts across the organization.

Prior to joining the Olivet Team, Reinert worked at various youth service agencies and organizations including Bethany’s Children’s Home, JusticeWorks YouthCare, Chester County Juvenile Probation, and the YMCA of Reading and Berks County.

Reinert is a 2011 graduate of Kutztown University with a major in Political Science. Reinert currently sits on the AFP National Philanthropy Day breakfast committee and enjoys giving back to his community. Reinert was born and raised in Schuylkill Valley and is member of our community, residing in Berks County with his wife and daughter.

“When I joined Olivet Boys & Girls Club of Reading and Berks County in March of 2020, I never would have imagined my second week would start with a global pandemic forcing Olivet and local schools to close their doors temporarily” said Reinert.

“When I watched my coworkers spring into action and lead the charge to provide essential and emergency services for those who needed it most, I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be at that exact moment. I could not be more excited and honored to continue my career as the Vice President of Development with the Olivet Boys & Girls Club.”
