POTTSTOWN, PA- After working for nine years at the Olivet Boys & Girls Club in the Ricketts Center, Pottstown, Jocelyn Charles has been promoted to director of the club.

Charles, 30, of Pottstown, demonstrates a commitment to local children and improving their quality of life, said Rhonda Mauk-Hudak, the club’s director of advancement.

The Ricketts Center club serves between 50 to 100 children daily.

“We are excited to have Ms. Charles lead our Pottstown clubhouse,” Mauk-Hudak said. “She brings to the position experience not only working with and mentoring our members at that site, but also with connecting to the community that we are trying to serve.”

Charles, in the press release announcing her promotion, said that she intends to develop more programs and hopes to increase attendance.

“I plan to do this by making it a fun and structured place for our kids to go daily,” she said.
