These donations were made through a special program run by students of St. Catharine of Siena, who raised money to purchase tools and materials for the bikes.

The lucky Olivet Club members, ranging from six to eleven in age, were hand-selected by their Club directors to be recipients of the bikes. They were then treated to a special day to commemorate the gifting of the bikes.

On Friday, members were picked up from Olivet’s Millmont Club unit and brought to St. Catharine of Siena School. Refreshments were provided as the kids enjoyed the rest of the day off from school. Students from St. Catharine not only helped to raise money for the bikes, but also assembled them for the Club kids. The Club members were then fitted properly on the bikes and got to take them out for a test ride.

Each Club Kid received a 20-inch bicycle and a helmet.
