What the Olivet Boys & Girls Club Means to Me…

The Olivet has always been a great place for me to go after school; it is a safe place to hang out, my friends and I meet there and don’t have to worry about violence and negative influences. We play games, do our homework, go on the computer, there are also arts and crafts that we participate in and have fun with outside activities.

I have been coming to Olivet Boys & Girls Club for almost a year and my grades have improved and I feel so much better about myself. I am now more interested in my school work and being more active in my neighborhood.

By coming to Olivet, I know I can reach my full potential as a healthy, productive young lady. I hope to inspire others to do the same.

What more can I say? Olivet Boys & Girls Club means everything to me. I have been going to the Club since I was a little girl of 6 years old. I have been a long time member. I love coming to the club because there are plenty of games and competitions, prizes and caring staff. Since I walked through the door on my first day, it has felt like home. We have staff that we can talk to about anything and they always listen and just hear what you have to say. I love the Olivet Boys & Girls Club.

What I like about Olivet Boys & Girls Club is that it’s a safe place for me to go to. When I say safe I mean I feel safe and I feel like I am at home. That’s what I like to feel safe here. I love to play games and meet new people. We even get help with our homework when needed. Also we learn how to improve our ways and be respectful to others. Truthfully, my favorite thing about the Club is when we get to go on trips and have a good time with each other. The staff members are cool, nice and teach us from right and wrong. Therefore, they really care about us and the decisions we make in life. That’s what I like about the Olivet’s – it is a safe place for me to be, it keeps me out of trouble and off the streets. The Olivet’s is a great place for children to come and be noticed.
