The contest began as a way to raise funds and increase the awareness of the Olivet Boys & Girls Club throughout Reading and Berks County. Since 1994 the Olivet Boys & Girls Club has been able to recruit 152 local business and community leaders to compete for the “honor” of kissing Hatfield, the Vietnamese Pot-Bellied Pig. To date, the Kiss-A-Pig contest has been one of the most successful fundraiser's for the Club, raising over 1 million dollars!!!
