Holiday Futsal Tournament – December 2008
Pennsylvania Holiday Futsal Tournament to benefit the Olivet
Boys and Girls Club of Reading and Berks County is held at the
Body Zone Sports & Fitness Complex the last week of December.
The tournament is an opportunity for 700 youth indoor soccer
teams to compete against each other, meet soccer celebrities,
and learn team sport skills in a friendly yet competitive
environment while supporting 6,000 at-risk kids who participate
in the Olivet programs after school and on weekends. Futsal is a
fast paced game played on fields that are 30’ x 50’, with small
goals and no goal keepers. Teams of six players, with three
playing at a time play in 12-minute games.
