It Just Takes One Campaign
It just takes one person to help our dreams
come true! Concentrating on children who need us most, we
provide each child who comes to our Club with the tools to make
positive choices. But we cannot do it alone. We need the support
of caring people and community leaders to help us, help our
kids. An investment in the
It Just Takes One
Campaign
enables our dedicated staff to forge strong relationships with
young people and influence their ability to succeed in life.
An annual contribution to this campaign
helps build a brighter tomorrow for more children. Gifts of
$10,000 or more by individuals are recognized in the Jeremiah S.
Milbank Society.
Kiss A Pig Contest – February 22-May 15,
2008
Olivet
Boys & Girls Club began a special community event in 1994 called
the Kiss-A-Pig contest as a creative way to raise awareness
about the Boys & Girls Club’s mission in Reading & Berks County.
The event has become one of the most fun and talked about events
in our community.
To date, the event has raised more than
$1 million for the kids of our community
who need us the most.
The contest, along with its sponsor and
candidates, enjoy a great deal of local publicity, including
newspaper, radio and television coverage throughout a 12 week

events held at various workplaces and other places of business
throughout Greater Reading during this time period.
